When you look great, every move you make is cuter, every joke you tell is funnier, and every embarrassing thing you do is a little less embarrassing. You are simply viewed through rose-colored glasses. You get that halo effect and all of that, and I feel like this effect is just tripled when it comes to men.
So, how do you look incredible for a date specifically? If I were to put it in a nutshell, I would say put in effort. Remember the little rule of thumb I shared with you previously: dress 20 to 25 percent better than what the occasion requires. In 99 percent of situations, I would say opt for a dress instead of pants and heels over flats. Wear your hair down if you can, lightly accessorize, don't do too much, and opt for natural-looking makeup.
Side note: As much as we're emphasizing looking stunning, I also want you to be comfortable enough that you're not readjusting and fidgeting all night long. So, create a look for yourself where stunning and reasonable comfort meet each other.
Zoom Date Outfit
If you want to watch a movie through Zoom, or face time, You can wear pajamas, you could totally do that. If it is for first date, wear satin silk cami on top, if you want to kind of show a little bit of edge, add a biker jacket.
- Add some little accessories like gold jewelry. all the different details of the faux leather within the satin and then the gold jewelry really would make you pop again.
Picnic Date Outfit
When think of a picnic date, you likely wan to wear cottage core dresses, short dresses. Here's a fun summer dress for a picnic date. It's light, it's breezy, and it's easy to sit on the grass. You don't feel too constricted, but you still look very put together because it's form-fitting all in the right places.
- Threw on a sort of macramé-type oversized bag to kind of give it that cottage core aesthetic
- Pair it with a nude kitten heel
- If it's really hot out and the sun's hitting your face and there's no shade to be had, grab a cute wicker hat. This wicker hat just works with the cottage core aesthetic.
- Throw on some simple gold jewelry.
Lunch Date Outfit
If it's hot out, you don't want a lot of clothes on. For lunch date, you don't need to wear constrictive clothing. This would be a really nice outfit for a patio lunch date. Pink dress with green bag work so well.
- Keep simple, wear a pair of gold earrings, no jewelry on the nect.
- Throw on your little spicy black sunglasses, and maybe that lunch date turns into an afternoon delight.
Movie Date Outfit
A pair of snake print dress that has buttons running all the way up the front. It is fun with how much leg you want to show by how many buttons I've undone. This would be a really fun movie date look. You know, maybe you're sitting in the theater, oh, a leg pops out, and they might be tempted to press their hand on it. You're flirting with your knees. Who says you have to flirt with cleavage?
- Keeping it kind of spicy and edgy with a Chelsea bootie
- Always gotta have some cute accessory, whether it's a sunglasses moment or you're putting on some chunky gold jewelry to finish off the look.
Casual Date Outfit
This is so fun. This could be good for a casual coffee date with friends or someone special, or maybe you're still feeling out that person. It doesn't say like you're trying too hard, but yet you look really good. A fun summer dress that's maybe a little bit retro, kind of has a 70s feel to it. You've got your Converse on because sometimes coffee dates turn into walking dates, you know. Maybe you're grabbing your iced coffee and you're going for a stroll, so you want to just be really casual. You're looking fierce, and you throw on some white beaded jewelry, and it balances everything out because you got white in the dress, white on your sneakers.
- Don't forget the infamous red vintage sunglasses pulling this whole look together. A nice coffee date with a vintage 70s flair.
Dinner Date Outfit
Wear a pair of high-waisted wide-leg cropped black pants with a white crisp blouse, this look so divine and sexy. We are going to tie it around the waist, and we're gonna pop that collar and leave a little button open to just be a little bit more flirtatious. And I feel like the snake print mule is just oh, edgy, fun, but you're not being bogged down by a big heel that sometimes can happen, and you maybe can't go for a stroll after dinner. This way, you guys can maybe get some gelato. I think the fun shouldn't stop there. After you've popped the collar, I threw on a large silver hoop that just screams, "I want to have fun, but I'm classy." But you're also flirting with the necklace because the necklace has little hearts on it, and you're saying, "I'm ready for love. I'm open to receiving love. You deserve love." I apologize if this is a sensitive subject to whoever is watching, but we are all adults here. We are all humans.
Netflix and Chill Outfit
The Netflix and chill look. Yes, this is a little risqué topic, but these dates happen, and sometimes we don't really know what we should be wearing for a Netflix and chill date. So, what you could consider wearing is maybe take a sort of like a boudoir look. Do an all-black moment. It's not lingerie, but it's still form-fitting and it shows your curves off. But you're very relaxed, you're casual, you're easygoing with however the night shall go. So, you've just got your little kick-in-it blouse on.
- Make the look a little spicier with your gold hoops or your silver hoops, some big hoops, just something that's like kind of boudoir, kind of sexy, but easy to take off.
Jumpsuit Outfit
Jumpsuit Outfit would be a good outfit to wear for drinks on a patio date, whether it's just with your friends or you're with your new beau, and you may have the slight suspicion that his or her friends might be meeting you for the very first time, so you want to make a good impression. And you're going to be remembered. You're going to stand out as the person that wore that smoking-hot jumpsuit.
- Adding tortoiseshell hoops and pairs with tortoiseshell sunglasses, you'd look so good and you'd be so memorable.
Dance Party Outfit
This skirt just gives you dancing vibes. This would be such a fun outfit to wear if you were going dancing. The high front, the low back, the little slit - it's just sexy but yet modest. You don't feel like you're too exposed. Always be comfortable because you don't want to be dancing and awkwardly pulling your clothes back into place. And you don't also want to wear tons of clothes. You want to wear something light because you're going to get hot and sweaty dancing up upon each other.
- Throw a nude kitten heel. I like a nude kitten heel because it just looks like I'm not really wearing anything, so it just keeps the leg looking long, and the kitten heel is not high, so it's very easy to move and not get tired and just keep up with your partner.
- Throw on some big silver hoops, when you know you're going out to party, when you're going out to dance. You'll be known as the person as the dancing flower.
Concert Date Outfit
How fun is this outfit? This is giving you concert date vibes. So, you know, you and that special someone are hitting up your favorite band that you both love. You're looking hot. You've got your dark denim jeans skirt on that's like ripped at the edge,
- Throw on these platform sandals again because sometimes when you're at concerts, there's someone really tall in front of you, and you can't see. So, maybe the additional couple inches will help you have that better view of your favorite band.
- Then throw on one of your favorite concert tees, like this one, or if Bob Marley doesn't work for you, try another one your preferred one.
- Add these key earrings or others give you concert edge vibes.
- Throw on somewhat of a chunkier silver necklace. Your date's gonna take one look at you, and he's gonna wanna bang the drums when he sees you.
